A big “thanks!” goes out to all members of the Clarksville CWRT and all other folks who attended the excellent symposium, “Hoofbeats in the Heartland”, which was held at Clarksville’s Custom’s House Museum. We had a great turn out and everyone who worked so hard to put on this event deserves a huge pat on the back. The speakers were excellent, the facility was great, the exhibit was wonderful, and lunch was awesome!
On Sunday, we had about 20 people stay over for a tour of Palmyra, Tennessee, and to see the fort to Forrest’s men built over the Cumberland river. This fort is on private property so it’s not often we get a chance to see these incredibly well-preserved earthworks.
Here’s some pictures from our event!
