February, 2009 – Dr. Glenn LaFantasie, Western Kentucky University“Abraham Lincoln and the American Military Tradition.”  Professor LaFantasie will discuss how Abraham Lincoln learned to become an effective Commander in Chief of the Union Army during the Civil War.  From his early micro-managing mistakes to the days of finally getting competent theater commanders, Lincoln learned and grew in his job.
